LabBook lite v1

- Objectives: Enable data collection and management in health centers with limited infrastructure.
- Methodology: Develop an Android smartphone application that works offline, using tablets and smartphones.
- Expected Results: Deploy a pilot project, planned for Guinea in 2025.
Guinea's National Directorate of Laboratories approached the Mérieux Foundation for data to improve surveillance and help ensure the accurate number of tests is provided to health centers. However, their number and infrastructure do not allow the use of a computer-based LabBook. LabBook Lite will expand the use of LabBook in the laboratory to community workers traveling in the field. When deployed and used during a field intervention, LabBook Lite will offer the ability to collect data, analyze requests, enter results, validate them, and finally, produce reports. Once the LabBook Lite user returns to the laboratory, the LabBook Lite can be used to transfer data from the device and upload it from the application to the LabBook server.
